This small town is not only enriched with forest, but also carries a rich cultural heritage. Everyone is certainly familiar with the so-called 'suha roba' and pottery, which are the foundations of Ribnica's identity. Some exhibitions of the Ribnica Museum, handicraft workshops in the Rokodelski center and the annual the Ribnica Fair, which is considered one of the largest fairs in Slovenia, are dedicated to the theme. The wonderful ambiance is represented by the renovated Ribnica Castle, where some of the Ribnica Museum's exhibitions are located, including an exhibition of witchcraft in Slovenia, a theater where a varied program takes place in the warmer months, a park and a cafe. Various cultural events also take place in the premises of Škrabec homestead, which is located on the outskirts of Ribnica. Culinary enthusiasts are catered for by the rich Biosing winery, which offers tastings of their prestigious organic meat products accompanied by premium wines.
